Robert and Michelle scrape past a high cliff on a narrow rock ledge and then Robert notices the opening of a cavern against the rock face beneath them and they carefully climb down the kopje and walk to the cavern's entrance. The cavern's roof is high enough for Robert to walk upright and he removes a torch from his rucksack and then says to Michelle: "Stay here. There may be some wild animal like a Cheetah living inside. We are right next to a game reserve."
With his Walter in his one hand and a torch in the other, Robert enters the cave and in the first chamber he doesn't even have to use the torch since the sunlight shines in through the entrance of the cavern. To his delight Robert finds no sign of any animal or even bats on the inside and he returns to Michelle.
"What a nice place to hide," Michelle remarks when Robert swoops her up in his arms and carries her into the large room into which the entrance of the cavern runs. After Robert and Michelle had spread their sleeping bags out on the floor of the cavern's first chamber, Robert gathers some wood and starts a fire and Michelle like magic juggled up some hot food and coffee.
"Let's find the gold," Michelle suggests excitedly and Robert takes one of the rucksacks which they had unpacked along and ties one of the nylon ropes to a bush growing on the out side of the cavern and tags it along with them and they have got to use their torches when they follow the cavern along a narrow gallery which turns sharply and then they enter another chamber.
Robert's torch's light falls on some wooden crates, which is stacked neatly against the rock face and Robert can feel a light breeze blowing against his face. "There must be another entrance as well," Robert remarks.
"Look!" Michelle exclaims and points to where thirty crates are stacked against the opposite rock face. "Be careful there may be some snakes nesting here somewhere," Robert warns with the experience with the Ring?necked spitting cobra still fresh in his memory.
They find no snakes, buy instead when they open one of the crates of which the wood had become brittle with the years and some golden bars shines yellow in the torches' light. Both Robert and Michelle, draws their breath in sharply and Michelle's fingers brushes over the cold yellow metal.
"How much gold have we got here?" Michelle asks excitedly. "I don’t really know.” "How much money will that be worth?" Michelle wants to know and to Robert it is almost as if she has got the same kind of expression that are on the face of gamblers all over the
World.
Robert himself is also excited when he answers her: " It’s hard to tell. Probably millions or rand" "Millions of rands?" Michelle gasps. "With that kind of money a person can do almost anything." Michelle's eyes are full of dreams and her mind full of plans when Robert finds three very small crates stowed deeper into the chamber.
When Robert opens one of the small crates, it contains golden coins. Some of the coins has got the inscription Thomas Francois Burgers 1874 on them others has got Paul Kruger's head on them with the inscription OS on the effigy and still others with Kruger’s head on them has got the figures 99 inscribed on them.
"Wow let's take the coins along with us,” Michelle says and her fingers starts playing with the coins. While they empty the contents of the three small crates into the rucksack Robert smells Michelle's perfume where she is next to him and then he turns he towards him and takes her into his arms.
Michelle's soft body presses warm; against Robert's and her lips is moist, warm and sweet on his. Robert kisses her with an unknown hunger and she replies with the same kind of passion. "Please make love to me now,” she whispers in his ear.
When they return to the first chamber they are so much in love that they both are absolutely sure that they had been made for each other. That night Robert builds a large bonfire and they cuddle up closely against each other and holds hands while they relate, their childhood experiences. Robert has never felt so close to anybody before, not even Tracey, and he tells Michelle about all his secrets desires and plans for the future.
Robert has to tell Michelle about all the night sounds and she even asks him to imitate some birdcalls for her. They hear a Fox laughing at the moon, before they love each other again and fall asleep safely in each other's arms.

Alexi enters his hotel room and when his eyes focus on the bouquet he is astounded.
